The Body Remedy opened its doors in December of 2006. The owner, Kristy Sue Brown is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist through the NCBTMB http://www.ncbtmb.com/, and also a member of AMTA http://www.amtamassage.org/

Kristy trained at the Tennessee Institute of Healing Arts, which offered an intense 1000 hour massage & body work course. Kristy's focus has been on rehabilitative techniques such as Neuromuscular Therapy and Trigger Point, but she also offers relaxation massage (swedish massage), pregnancy massage, massage working with cancer, and hot stone massage.

Kristy has also studied Hydrotherapy and other natural remedies at Wildwood Lifestyle Center in GA. She continues to expand her knowledge in the field with continued education each year.

Along with massage therapy, Kristy is a licensed Cosmetologist/ Hair Designer with 12+ years experience in the beauty industry. She especially enjoys using her creative abilities to bring out the beauty in each client. Her main interests in cosmetology are hair color and cutting and she specializes in corrective coloring and full hair makeovers. Recently, kristy has been tying her passion for her photography hobby into her business and doing photoshoots using some of The Body Remedy's hair/make up makeovers as models. Kristy's goal for The Body Remedy is that each person who visits can feel at ease knowing that every effort will be taken to provide them with the relaxing and healing environment their body needs for rejuvination and for beauty.

Julie Shelton

Licensed Esthetician / Make up Artist

Julie came to The Body Remedy in 2007. She is a licensed esthetician/skin care specialist. Julie has loved skin care and make up since she was a little girl. She started practicing facials and facial massages on her family and friends who suffered from stress and migraines when she was 12 years old. This early interest led her to persue her career in aesthetics.

Julie worked as a make up artist for several years and gained experience with some of the top cosmetics lines before she decided to continue her education and attend esthetics school at Principles of Success, in Hixson, TN.

Anyone who has received a treatment from Julie can tell you that she has a special talent with her soothing touch. Along with her ability to make you feel comfortable, she has a vast array of knowledge for treatments and products for each skin type.

Aleesa Wade

Nationally Certified Massage Therapist

Aleesa is a graduate of Chattanooga Massage Institute. She is a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, http://www.ncbtmb.com/

In adition to her certifcations in massage and bodywork, Aleesa is also a licensed Chiropractic Therapy Assistant. She has gained experience working with a local Chropractor who specializes in physical rehab and chiropractic care. Combining her knowledge as a Chiropractic Therapy Assistant with her practice in Massage Therapy help Aleesa mold each client's treatment plan and specialize it to fit the individuals unique needs.

Aleesa was inspired to persue massage therapy as a career by her interest in alternative forms of medicine and natural healing. Aleesa attributes her interest in natural remedies to her mother who is a herbalist, and who educated Aleesa with many natural remedies while she was growing up. Aleesa's desire is to help people to find wellness through massage therapy and her knowledge of natural remedies.

Aleesa's specializes in relaxation/swedish massage, sports/deep tissue massage and pregnancy massage.

 

Noel Grosche'

Hair Designer/ Master Colorist/ Extensions Specialist/ Hair Restoration Specialist

In her 20+ years in the industry Noel has racked up experience as a colorist, designer stylist, and expert in all types of hair loss ranging from men to women with hair loss from alopecia.

Noel started her career in the beauty industry in 1990 in Jackson, MS. Not long after starting her career, she was chosen as one of Mississippi's top 50 hair stylists! From there, Noel moved to New Orleans, LA where she met and worked with many influential people in the industry.

Noel has been working with hair extensions for over 10 years. She has worked with many different types and systems thus she is able to offer the best type of hair or system to each client depending on their individual needs.

Last year, in 2008, Noel went to New York and trained in a salon in Manhattan that specializes in women's hair replacement. She wanted to further her training and knowledge to not only offer hair extensions, but to offer hair replacement options to clients with extreme hair loss. Noel now feels a special calling to work in this area of the industry. She says " I am very passionate about helping women feel beautiful outside as well as in. I don't want one single woman to feel that she can not do something because of her hair loss."
